Western Massachusetts Woodstove Changeout Project

We would like to share some exciting news with you. This spring the American Lung Association in Massachusetts (ALAMA) will be launching the Western Massachusetts Woodstove Changeout Project. Olde Hadleigh Hearth and Patio is proud to be participating. ALAMA will be distributing over $270,000 in vouchers to residents of Berkshire, Hampden, Hampshire and Franklin Counties.

Vouchers will be available to residents in the four-county area who exchange an older non-EPA certified woodstove for a new wood, pellet, or gas stove that is professionally installed by a participating dealer. The vouchers will be $1,500 for a wood stove ; $2,000 for a pellet or gas stove and $3,000 for anyone who qualifies for the Low Income Heating Assistance program, Womens Infants and Children Program (WIC) or is a Medicaid recipient.

This is an effort to improve air quality in Western Mass by replacing old, inefficient stoves with new, more efficient less polluting stoves. We have brochures at the store about the program or you can call 800-548-8252 for more information.
